However, usually you only have to show proof of insurance when registering a car, or renewing the registration... not when getting your license.|||You have to be a resident of FL to get a license in the state, you can't just drive down and get one. FL is a no fault insurance state, and any vehicle you drive would have to be insured, but you wouldn't have to show insurance to get a learners permit.
