I don't want to give up my TX license as I will return there later on but I need to get the FL license for the summer as I'm staying 3 months in Miami.. the office never replied my e-mail when I aksed them..Do I have to turn in my TX drivers license when converting it into a Florida licence?
Florida "Part-time Resident License"...

Part-time residents may elect to retain their valid out-of-state license and receive a Florida license which states "Valid in Florida Only."Do I have to turn in my TX drivers license when converting it into a Florida licence?
no, not if your permanant address is in texas. If you have to renew while your in florida, then possibly, unless you want to drive to texas to get it renewed.Do I have to turn in my TX drivers license when converting it into a Florida licence?
We no longer allow you to have a valid in florida only lic as of nov 1 2009. you will have to surrender your TX license then when you go back to TX switch it back.
i guess you'll have to switch, then switch back.it's ok you're pretty.
