Do i qualify for nj grants if my drivers license is from florida?
this is a financial aid question- i have been living in nj for over a yr. now from florida. i have a florida drivers license, but i don't drive so i never felt the need to get a nj drivers license. i applied for financial aid in nj to go to school here,i have utilities bills and etc.. on my name. so my question is can my FL drivers license keep me from receiving nj grants, financial help?|||You have to apply and be approved for residency. It has nothing to do with your drivers license. If you have been going to school for the last year you are not eligible for residency. It is a complicated process with a lot of regulations, and there are only a few reasons for why you are in the state to be able to claim it. If you apply and are granted residency then you will be eligible for state grants.
