I have a suspended Drivers License in California for. Can I drive in California with a valid Florida license?

My license was suspended for a DUI in California. I have a Florida Drivers License. Can I drive in California, with the Florida License. Would Law enforcement find out in california, if I got pulled over?|||The only way this could happen (if you did not lie when you got your Florida license) is if you are a Florida resident with a Florida license who got a DUI in California. If that happened, it is your privilege to drive a motor vehicle in California which is suspended, not your driver's license. The result of a suspension in CA should be a suspension in FL as well. Even if it doesn't result in a FL suspension, however, your privilege to drive in CA is still suspended, and it is unlawful for you to drive in that State even if it is lawful for you to drive in FL and elsewhere.|||How did you manage to get a valid Florida DL with a suspended California license?

If you did manage to get a valid license, you slipped through a crack that is pretty small.

Chances are if you got stopped in California, they would only have your Florida DL to go off of, so your chances of a California law enforcement officer knowing about your California suspension is small as he would only have your Florida DL to access|||The short answer is "they might." Sorry but it's not possible to be more definitive.

When you move from one state to California, the state requires that you obtain a California driver's license relatively quickly; you have 10 days to apply. If you get pulled over, the officer will get your old out of state license, and immediately ask you if you live in California now. (If the car is registered in CA, and registered to you, a bunch of red flags go up in his mind anyway.) He has to run your name to find out about the suspension, which he might or might not do. It depends on the infraction that resulted in the traffic stop.

The penalty for driving on a suspended license can be much larger than whatever traffic stop resulted in the officer discovering the suspended license. I wouldn't do it. If you have to drive, then it would be better to go back to court and ask the judge for permission to drive certain places or times. E.g., to and from work only.|||Use your common sense. What do you think? Do you seriously think that California would suspend your license and then allow you to drive with another license?

Obtaining a license when you are suspended in another state is illegal to begin with, so don't make it any worse.|||Yes, your only supposed to have 1 license. You would probably get in additional trouble for having the two licenses.|||If you get pulled over for any reason and they run your name your suspension will come up and ............big trouble.
