Can i apply for NC drivers license while i have a suspension on my florida license?

IS IT POSSIBLE? DO THEY CHECK IF YOU HAVE A LICENSE IN ANOTHER STATE? I NEED A LICENSE AND FLORIDA IS DICKING AROUND WITH REINSTATING MY LICENSE AFTER A DUI CONVICTION 3 YRS AGOCan i apply for NC drivers license while i have a suspension on my florida license?
You can apply; you won't get one. reciprocityCan i apply for NC drivers license while i have a suspension on my florida license?
are you cute? ur pic is kinda blurryCan i apply for NC drivers license while i have a suspension on my florida license?
Can you apply for one? Sure.

Will you get one? Heck no.

All States drivers records are available to all other States. When you apply for a NY license the fact that you are suspended in FL will come up, and you won't get a license.

To get a NY license, you will FIRST have to do whatever FL requires to get the suspension lifted.

For example, if when you got your DUI your sentence included a requirement to do an alcohol education class, and you didn't, you're probably going to have to go to Florida to do one, because classes in NY won't be approved by the Florida DMV.

Richard
I know someone in your shoes. He had a DUI conviction 11 years ago out of state and he still cannot get a license. He called the other state and asked then the person told him that if he wants his license that he would have to travel back to that state and turn himself in.

Is it possible to have a new york address on a florida drivers license//?

You would need to check with the Florida DMV to verify it, though personally, I doubt it.Is it possible to have a new york address on a florida drivers license//?

Does the gold star on a Florida Drivers License allow me to cross the border into Canada?

i'm taking a trip to Michigan soon and wanted to go into Canada for a day. my cousin says since i dont have a passport that an enhanced drivers license will do. while calling my local DMV, a very unhelpful and disgruntled dmv associate told me the gold star on my license will allow me access into Canada, but every where else i read online says that florida has not participated in this program and does not mention a "gold star" anywhere on the EDL requirements. please get back to me asap!Does the gold star on a Florida Drivers License allow me to cross the border into Canada?
    No.

You need a passport for any air or sea crossing and either a passport, NEXUS pass, or enhanced driver's license when crossing at a ground crossing. The only states which currently offer enhanced driver's licenses are Michigan,New York, Vermont and Washington state. Florida is one of several states which has announced that they will be offering enhanced driver's licenses. However, they only announced it a few months back, so they are not currently offered.

Personally, just get a passport. If you are in FL it is useful for travel to Mexico and the Caribbean.
To enter Canada you need proof of citizenship and photo ID. From the Canada Border Services Agency website: "If you are a citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport to enter Canada. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as photo identification."

Similarly, you will require proof of citizenship to get back into the U.S. From the US Customs %26amp; Border Protection website: "The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires U.S. and Canadian travelers to present a passport or other document that denotes identity and citizenship when entering the U.S."

So your driver's license alone will neither get you into Canada from the U.S. nor get you back into the U.S. from Canada, but combined with your birth certificate it could do the trick. When travelling outside your own country, a passport is really the ultimate piece of identification. Anything else can be called into question by Customs officials, and you seriously do NOT want to mess with Customs officials from any country, including your own.Does the gold star on a Florida Drivers License allow me to cross the border into Canada?
All the gold star does is let everyone know you shared your toys at recess and that you did your homework on time. Other then that it doesn't mean jack when it comes to crossing into Canada. You will need a passport because, as you said, Florida doesn't participate in the EDL program.

And by the way, it's not Canada's fault you need a passport to come here. We could care less however the US government is requiring everyone entering the US to have a passport or EDL (even US citizens) therefore we have to make sure you have it so that you can go home after your visit.
That's a regular driver's licence. You need an enhanced one with a chip in it [if available in Florida] or a passport.

PS It is true that Canada can technically admit you with just a birth certificate, but, if you don't have the passport necessary to go home, they won't let you in.Does the gold star on a Florida Drivers License allow me to cross the border into Canada?
To enter Canada, any driver's licence will do. However, to go back into the USA, you need the passport, enhanced driver's licence, or NEXUS card. This is US law, and nothing to do with Canada. All that is required here is basic ID.
you can enter canada with that no problem, its returning to your own country thats going to be the problem. and if your crossing at Detroit/Windsor, the US guards don't mess around. Canadians could careless

The particular meaning of the word "citizen" is frequently dependent on the context in which it is found[25], and the word must always be taken in the sense which best harmonizes with the subject matter in which it is used[26].

One may be considered a citizen for some purposes and not a citizen for other purposes, as, for instance, for commercial purposes, and not for political purposes[27]. So, a person may be a citizen in the sense that as such he is entitled to the protection of his life, liberty, and property, even though he is not vested with the suffrage or other political rights[28].

    Florida Drivers License Question?

I live in Florida and i dropped out of high school when i was 16. I had not had a permit when i did drop out and i will be 18 in October. My question is can i get my license when i turn 18 or do i have to wait till im 21(what mom said). Thanks.Florida Drivers License Question?
Of course, the best source of information is the Florida DMV.

When I checked their website I saw no reason why you would have to wait until you are 21 to get your license.

However, I've been wrong before and would not be surprised if I was wrong again. Another problem ... Even if you get a permit, you need a car to practice on, and a licensed driver to ride with you. If you do not have both of these things, the permit is a waste of money.Florida Drivers License Question?
Why don't you do the SIMPLE thing and just call your motor vehicle dept. and ask them? The mvd laws differ from one state to the next and there are just a lot of different rules and stuff. Call your MVD.

How would i get a replacement florida drivers license?

I went to disney this past weekend and got pickpocketed for my wallet and sunglasses.

So now i got pickpocketed and have to get pretty much a new everything and was wondering how i would do this. I need a new drivers license, insurance card, fishing licenses(salt and snook),and debit card. I live in florida and on my own. How would i get all of this back(do i need proof of residence?all i have left is my school id and voters card)how much would it cost(if you know)?if you know anything about anyone of these it would be much appreciated. Thank youHow would i get a replacement florida drivers license?
Replacing a lost, stolen, or destroyed Florida driver license is fairly simple. If it was stolen, you should immediately file a report with your local police department. You may be eligible to receive a duplicate free of charge if you bring in a copy of the police report when you apply for a replacement.

Obtain a duplicate license by doing the following:

    * Apply online if your citizenship has already been established on your driving record. A nominal service fee, payable by any major credit card, will be charged in addition to the $25 replacement fee.

    * Go into your local driver license office and apply in person. You'll need to show two acceptable forms of ID.

You will need to prove your identity with the following:

List A (1 of the following)

    Birth Certificate

    US Passport

List B (1 of the following)

    Social Security Card

    W-2

Check/Paystub (only if it lists your social security number)

List C (2 of the following)

    * Deed, mortgage, monthly mortgage statement, mortgage payment booklet or residential rental/lease agreement

    * Florida Voter Registration Card

    * Florida Vehicle Registration or Title

    * A utility hook up or work order dated within 60 days of the application

    * A current utility bill (water, electric, gas, or cable)

Once you have a new drivers license, it should be pretty easy to replace everything else.

FYI, I typed out the list of documents, since they're the best/most relevant. If you've read the websites, why are you asking? Just go to the DMV with your paperwork.

  • Permanently revoked drivers license in Florida for DUI can I move to New Mexico ?

and be eligible to obtain an interlock device drivers license in New Mexico?Permanently revoked drivers license in Florida for DUI can I move to New Mexico ?
You would have to make "full disclosure" of your previous driving record, including the fact that your license was revoked in Florida.

Then it's up to New Mexico law to see if you qualify for any driving privileges in that state. I doubt that you would get a license, but you will never know until you try.

Failure to disclose your previous driving record will not help you. Even if you get a license in New Mexico it would eventually be invalidated due to false information on the application.Permanently revoked drivers license in Florida for DUI can I move to New Mexico ?

    Florida drivers license?

Any Floridians out there or anybody actually? I have a question ill be moving to Florida here in the next two months, and i live in Ohio now im just wondering what i am going to need to do to get my florida driver license. I already have a Ohio license so im just wondering if im going to have to take a Florida driving test or just can go to the DMV and give them my new address and go from there...... please help THANKS IN ADVANCEFlorida drivers license?
You have 30 days after establishing your residency in FL to go to the Secretary of State or DMV and get your FL License.

Most states will require you to take their written test and vision test before issuing you a license and they will also make you surrender your OH License.

It will be practical to have your address changed on your vehicle insurance and any adjustments to mandatory insurance coverages done and FL Insurance cards in your possession before you go to the Secretary of State or DMV office.

Take your vehicle titles also to get them titled in FL and registered. If the titles are in the possession of a Leinholder then contact them to obtain whatever necessary paperwork you will need to register the vehicles in FL well in advance of your scheduled move.Florida drivers license?
You will more than likely have to take the written test and the eye test.

The old Driver licenses issued in 2005 and before were issued for 8 years. However, the state of Florida is so incompentant, they don't know how long their new driver licenses are issued for. On their various web sites the New Florida driver license with the picture of the old man is issued for 4 years and the new Florida driver license with the picture of the young man is issued for 8 years. Not sure where you got your information at. I lived in Florida for 11 years (1990 to 2001) and never saw an 8 year license. The first issued license was for 4 years. If you did not get a ticket during that time, the renewal was for 6 years and was called a Safe Driver License. How long is the new Florida Driver License Issued for?

Yeah, Hawaii is a state, so you can go with only a driver's license. To travel from Miami to Hawaii is a Florida Drivers License all I need?
A boat and/or good lungs, too. Unless your gonna fly.
I wouldn't think you would need a driver's license at all unless you are going to be driving there. Or if you're 21 and want to drink, but all you need is an ID for that...not a license. To travel from Miami to Hawaii is a Florida Drivers License all I need?
Yes, you're not leaving the USA.
and hopefully a plane ticket, it might be a long *** walkTo travel from Miami to Hawaii is a Florida Drivers License all I need?
    Not if you are driving!
Sounds like a rough trip if your only taking a driver's license
    Yeah.
Yes, because it has your photo on it. Hawaii is a state also.
You'll need an airline ticket and the photo ID will be requireed for you to get checked in and get through security to the plane. A driver's license is fine. I Hawaii you are still in the USA so there's no need for a passport.
I don't see why not. As long as your Drivers License is not expired your good to go.

Obtaining a drivers license when moving to florida?

So i am planning on moving to florida right after i graduate from high school to attend college.

    My question is

Right away I have to get a florida drivers license correct.

Well if so do I have to have insurance from florida because my parents were going to pay for my insurance and keep my on there plan. What happens if they go with something like progressive which is an national plan.

Can they keep me on then?

Also when getting a new license from there do I have to take any tests or anything. I will be 18 when I get it?

Thanks.Obtaining a drivers license when moving to florida?
No, you do not have to get a Florida drivers license if you're just there for college, and do not plan on staying there after graduation. In that case, you can keep your license from your home state. Talk to your current insurance agent to see if their company will be able to cover you while you're in FL.

How do I get my drivers license in Florida?

I'm turning 16 and i already have my permit

It says that i have to have 50 hours of driving supervised certified... what does that mean?

    can my parent supervise me

or Do i have to pay someone from some driving company to supervise me for 50 hours? How do I get my drivers license in Florida?
50 hours is the amount of driving time you should have done with your parents while you have your permit. Once you have driven around for a total of 50 hours with Mom and Dad, you are free to take your drivers test and get your license. So no, you don't pay for someone to supervise you, that just means having your parents in the care with you.

I have recently moved to Pennsylvania. I just got back from the bar down the road from me. They asked for my id when I went inside and I gave her my drivers license which is valid till 2014. she went back and scanned it then came back and very rudely told me that it was not a real ID and that I had to leave. I tried to show her a second form of ID - my military ID - and she wouldn't even look at it. Instead she threatened to call the police and the manager. I told her that I would like to speak to a manager and she said hes not in right now and to leave. So I left. This is the second time this has happened to me this month.

If i have a expired drivers license from north carolina, what do i have to do to get a florida drivers license

You have two choices. If the license is expired less than a year ago, then you can still go back to NC or write to the DMV in NC, to get your NC license renewed. They will do this for you without any further tests. Once you have renewed your license in NC, you can use this to transfer it to a FL driving license.

If however your NC license has expired by over a year, then you have no choice but to go through the entire process of a written test, as well as, a road test in Florida. Usually, they will be very flexible in the process. Another word, the road test inspector may choose to skip the road test, or he/she may make it a short test before issuing you your license. These people are quite understanding in such situations depending on your circumstances and your explanations. If i have a expired drivers license from north carolina, what do i have to do to get a florida drivers license

I have a suspended license in Virginia, I have heard that you can establish residency in another state and receive a valid driver's licenseCan i get a valid drivers license in florida with a suspended one in virginia if i establish residency?
    No.

In fact, when you apply for a driver's license, the application asks if another state has ever suspended or revoked your driving privileges. You can answer "no," and you'll get your license, but within a month or two the police will show up to arrest you for perjury.
All states have an agreement to share their DMV/MDV information with each other.

I know this for a fact because a coworker of my father that has a CDL Drivers License got a speeding ticket in California while driving a tractor trailer for work and blew it off...

He thought "F**k it! That is California!"

Well... Cali and Illinois have the agreement to share information and guess who came a knocking at his house in Illinois?

There was a bench warrant for this arrest and it put his livelihood at risk all because he thought it was "a different state" so it didn't matter.

Do what you are talking about at your own risk.

Besides... It can take over a year to establish "Residency" in another state...

Why not stop being a retard and straighten out your life?

It is simpler to stop drag racing or get help for your substance abuse problems or whatever it is that got your license suspended in the first place.

The fact that you are contemplating such a convoluted plan to get your license back goes to show that you have a problem... Be it drugs, alcohol, or mental illness.

You would be MUCH MUCH better off seeking treatment for your issues, whatever they may be, than pissing away a year trying to establish residency in another state where you will just end up losing THAT LICENSE TOO...Can i get a valid drivers license in florida with a suspended one in virginia if i establish residency?

You'll start from scratch under existing Florida Statues.Could i get my florida drivers license if i already had my learners permit for 6 months in new jersey?
No. You must get a Florida permit and wait for the required statutory period in Florida before you will even be allowed to take the licensing test.Could i get my florida drivers license if i already had my learners permit for 6 months in new jersey?
Reciprocity is common, but only one for one. In other words, Florida will swap out your NJ learner's permit for a Florida learner's permit. Don't expect better than that.
As far as Florida is concerned, a New Jersey learners permit does not exist. You would be treated the same as anyone that did not have a current drivers license. If you get a New Jersey license before you move, the rules may be different.

    Florida Drivers license?

Okay well i am 16, from New Mexico, and i just got my Provisional license (a temporary license that allows me to drive alone for 6 months until i get my actual drivers license) Buuuuut im moving to Florida in July, Will i have to re-take all the tests and everything there in order to obtain my actual drivers license, or since ive already passed them all here, will i just be able to get the license???Florida Drivers license?
I think you have to retake everything since you don't have a license yet, but the best way to find out would be to call a Florida DMV (in the city you're moving to), and ask them. They'll give you a definitive answer.Florida Drivers license?
Since you don't have your actual license I think you might have to re-take everything. If you had your actual license for New Mexico you could probably transfer it.Not 100% on that though x]

What's the minimum age to get a Florida's drivers license?

People were telling me that Florida just passed a Law that you have to 18 to get you license. Is that true? If so can you drive to school and work alone with your permit? Help! What's the minimum age to get a Florida's drivers license?
    You do not get your full license until you are 18 and here is Florida's Graduated drivers program.}{

To obtain a Learner's License, the driver must do all of the following:

    be at least 15 years old;

    provide a Social Security Number;

    show proof of completion of a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course, or a license from another state, county, or jurisdiction;

have a legal guardian sign the Parental Consent Form in the presence of the driver license examiner; and

pass the required written test covering road rules and signs, a hearing test, and a vision test.

The holder of a Learner's License may not drive alone, regardless of age, and if under 18, must hold the license for 12 months before advancing to the next stage. The driver is restricted from driving after dark for the first three months, and after 10 p.m. from months 4-12.

The next stage of licensing is the Operator's License. To receive an Operator's License, the driver must:

    be 16- to 17-years-old;

    have held a Learner's License for at least 12 months without any traffic convictions;

    show parent or guardian certification that the driver has had at least 50 hours of experience behind the wheel, 10 of which must have been at night;

successfully perform a behind the wheel test in the presence of the driver license examiner.

The 12-month requirement above starts over at any point the driver receives a traffic conviction on their record.

Drivers with an Operator's License, who are 16-years-old, may only drive between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., with two exceptions. If the driver is going to and from work, or has a licensed driver who at least 21-years-old in the front passenger seat, he or she may driver outside the restricted times.

Drivers with an Operator's License, who are 17-years-old, are restricted from driving between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., with the two exceptions listed above.

The Full License is the end goal for young drivers. Once a driver reaches age 18, they may apply for a Full License. For those already holding an Operational License, the driving restrictions will merely fall off. No new testing will need to be completed.

18-year-olds who have never held a driver's license may apply for a Full License as long as they provide:

    two forms of identification;

a Social Security card, if they have one; and

proof they completed a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course.

Therefore, if a young driver adheres to Florida's zero tolerance for alcohol policy, and keeps their driving record free of any traffic convictions, they will be eligible for a Full Class E Driver's License at age 18.

Expired Florida Drivers License I GOT CAUGHT DRIVING I'M SCREWED?

Let me preface this by saying I'm a moron.

I didn't realize my license was expired for more than a year until I got pulled over last week. I got a ticket for the expired license and was told to get a court date.

This week I got pulled over for SPEEDING with an expired license (I'm a moron) so I get 2 tickets again and they tow the car.

So what does a moron have to do to get his license back? Will they just let me take the vision test and pay a fine,or do I have to wait for the court date before they will let me get it? Or will they just suspend my license since I was caught driving?Expired Florida Drivers License I GOT CAUGHT DRIVING I'M SCREWED?

When did the state of Florida change the format of their Driver's License?

I still have my Florida Drivers License from when I used to live there, but someone showed me theirs the other day and its different from mine. Mine was white with a green strip on the left side saying Florida Drivers License. The new one is like a tanish color and looks different. When did they change the license? When did the state of Florida change the format of their Driver's License?
I think it was 2006. I got my license in 2005 and it was the normal horizontal kind. I lost my wallet and had to get a new one in 2006 and they changed it. Now its organized vertically and is tanish.

Please help me!!!! I need to know exactly what i need to do get my license in florida, i am 19 and never got a learners permit. I just recently got into Driving and want the full fledge experience. please be very elaborate in explaining the steps i have to take in receiving my Florida license, remember that i am 19 so i know that the same rules don't apply to me as someone who was a minor.....please be serious and thorough!!!!Attaining a Florida Drivers License?
i got my license in florida when i was 17. florida is the easiest place in the country to get a license. since your over 17, all you need is to do is take the acutally driving test. all you need is a car.Attaining a Florida Drivers License?
This is what you need to do: Go to the local driver's license office. Take with you your birth certificate, social security card, and probably proof of where you reside(any bill with your name on it). I believe you have to take a written test first. Not exactly sure about this but I think you have to wait a month and then take the driving test. I could be wrong to take a car and a licensed driver with you, just in case. That is all you need. You might want to go to myflorida.com and look under driver's license to be for sure.Attaining a Florida Drivers License?
Florida has new laws to get a driver license. Two forms of ID, proof of residence, proof of birth AND SS card. You have to take a substance abuse and traffic course, vision/hearing tests, road rules test and an actual driving test.

It used to be so easy to get a FL DL but not anymore. THANK GOD!

If I live in Florida with a Florida drivers license, can I regularly drive my parents car registered in NJ?

Sure, as long as your FL license is valid. Just watch the expiration date; it's easy to let it slip by.If I live in Florida with a Florida drivers license, can I regularly drive my parents car registered in NJ?
    Where is the car normally?

If the car is with you, in Florida, then it can't remain registered in NJ. Many people do this, mind you, but it's not legal to "permanently" garage a vehicle in a state other than the one where it's registered. The definition of permanent varies, but for the sake of argument, let's go with more than half of the year.

Outside of that, I assume your question is about the insurance. If you are the primary driver, then the insurance company will expect you to be listed as such. If they find that the car is in FL, but your parents are in NJ (and they're the ones listed as primary drivers), they could fail to pay a claim on the grounds of fraud.

On the other hand, if you're simply asking if you're allowed to visit your parents and drive their car... then, yes. Most insurance will allow an occasional driver. But if it's more than occasional (say, more than 4 or 5 days out of the year), they'll want you listed explicitly as a driver.

There are specific cases if you're at college. If I live in Florida with a Florida drivers license, can I regularly drive my parents car registered in NJ?
Yeah you can actually get in trouble for bringing a car to another state for over a period of time without registering it. In missouri its 6 months the same with your drivers license if you move to another state. Its a money thing for the state. Im shure most cops will let you go if you tell them its your parents car unless they are assholes or you give them a reason not to. hope this helpsIf I live in Florida with a Florida drivers license, can I regularly drive my parents car registered in NJ?
If said car resides in Florida now better get it registered in FL. If they folks bounce back and forth with the car, then where ever gets them the best value. Make sure you meet FL insurance regulations.

    FLORIDA drivers license ?

so i used to live in NC, and recently moved to FL. of course my drivers license is a NC one, what do i need to do to get a florida drivers license?

am i going to have to take any test again??

thanks for any answers! FLORIDA drivers license ?
I didn't see anything about having to retake the test. This is from the Florida DMV:

Florida law requires identification, proof of date of birth, proof of residential address, and proof of social security number (if issued, Chapter 322, Florida Statutes, requires the Department to collect social security numbers for the issuance of driver license and identification cards) from all customers before a driver license or identification card can be issued. The name assigned to the social security number must match the name that will appear on the Florida driver license or identification card. If you have recently changed your name, update your records with the Social Security Administration before you apply for your license or identification card.

See site below for MUCH more detail.FLORIDA drivers license ?
You will have to surrender your NC license and take a written test to get the FL license. The test consists of 20 questions. Good luck

In Florida you may get a restricted driver's license (learner's permit) at the age of 15 provided you are still in school. If you quit school at any time before your 18th birthday, your license will be suspended. Provided you are still in school and have had a restricted driver's license for 90 days, you may get a regular class E license at the age of 16 and does not require a licensed driver to be with you.How old do i have to be to get my drivers license in florida?

No you cannot. All 50 states now have a computer system that checks for suspension in all of the USA.

I am suspended is Washington and moved to Colorado. My dad is a state trooper in Colorado and he told me they would check if I tried, but I tried anyway. And when they put my SS# in the computer it came up right away that I was suspended. And I married so my name had even changed!!!

It is not illegal to try it, You could say you didn't know, but it won't work. Sorry!!!

Going to get my Florida driver's License, but I don't have a car to take the test with?

I'm 21 years old, and I'm getting my florida drivers license. I made the appointment online but it states that I have provide my own car. The only way possible is borrowing my brother's car while he's at work and having one of my friends (licensed and 21 years old) come with me. The car is under my brother's name and is insured and has a valid registration.

Is this possible to do?Going to get my Florida driver's License, but I don't have a car to take the test with?
Yes. It's possible, legal, and perfectly acceptable. You don't need a letter. They most likely won't bother checking the registration. Even if they do, you tell them it's your brother if they ask. You don't need a letter. People use other people's cars all the time.

As long as the car isn't reported stolen, nobody will care.Going to get my Florida driver's License, but I don't have a car to take the test with?
That would work, as long as you have the registration with you when you take the test. (Have a letter from your brother authorizing you to use his car, just in case).

A much easier (but not free) way is to go to a driving school and tell them you'd like to use one of their cars to take the test. They'll bring you to the test, wait while you take it and bring you back home.

Is it possible to go to disney world in Florida without a drivers license?

I've been told that you need to have a valid Uk drivers license for 5 years to be able to drive in the states?? I don't know if this is true?

If you can't drive what are you other options? like if you stay in a disney hotel do they provide transport to the parks? Is it possible to go to disney world in Florida without a drivers license?
If you stay in at a Disney hotel, you will receive complimentary (a.k.a FREE) transportation from Orlando International Airport to your hotel, and to all of the Disney theme parks. This service is called the Magical Express Service and needs to be reserved in advance. Call (407) 939-6244 to make your reservation and you can visit this link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/air鈥?/a> for more information on the free transportation offered for all Disney hotel guests.

So if you stay at a Disney hotel, you never have to drive or have a driver's license. All transportation will be completely free.Is it possible to go to disney world in Florida without a drivers license?
Well I'm not sure about the first question, but the second question I can answer!

Yes, you do have plenty of options! If you stay in a Disney Resort Hotel, you are automatically granted access to buses that will take you to all four theme parks, Downtown Disney Shopping District, and the two water parks. If you stay in the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Resort, or the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the monorail (which goes to Magic Kingdom and Epcot) goes right through your hotel! Also, if you stay at Port Orleans: French Quarter, Port Orleans: Riverside, or Saratoga Springs, you'll have access to water taxis that take you to and from Downtown Disney Shopping District.

Disney is full of transportation other than cars, so enjoy the stress-free rides!

PS: Disney's Magical Express bus lines can pick you up from Orlando International Airport and bring you straight to your hotel, or you can rent a towncar, which is what I prefer. Good luck!

I understand that most states share DMV information regarding suspended licenses. This is because of the interstate compact that 45 states have joined. I also know that Wisconsin is NOT one of those states that has joined the compact. My question is that besides the compact does wisconsin share its DMV info with other states? If I got a Florida license before my suspension starts in wisconsin will it become invalid at that point? I have NYS license and i know you need a 2 forms of id but I didnt see anywhere on DMV site for FL if FL address is needed can someone help?? ThanksCan i hold a NYS and Florida drivers license and do i need a FL address to get one?
You can't have two different drivers licenses from different states. You turn in the one when you take the test for the other state's license. You need to prove that your a resident before you can take the test for the state you are living in.Can i hold a NYS and Florida drivers license and do i need a FL address to get one?
You cannot legally hold a driver's license from two different states. You will have to turn in your old license to get the new one or you would have to go through the licensing process from the beginning (permit, road test, etc.) If one state found out you were no longer a resident they would suspend the license. As somebody that moved out of NY make sure you mail your plates back to them in a timely manner. They will suspend your registration when you change your insurance. You might get a partial refund for the registration. You can maintain your NY license if you are out of state for college. Hope this helps. Can i hold a NYS and Florida drivers license and do i need a FL address to get one?
yes you need to have a fl address to get a fl drivers licence. and I think that you can't have two drivers licences at the same time for two different states. What state is NYS? Do you mean NY?
You need FL proof of residency to get a Florida drivers license. And they ask for your NY license and they keep it (probably to get destroyed).

How to switch NYS Driver Licenses to a Florida Drivers Licenses?

My mom has a Florida State Licenses and my father has a NYS Licenses

My parents have a home in Florida and I was planning on attending school in Florida anyways? How to switch NYS Driver Licenses to a Florida Drivers Licenses?
The time limit for changing varies by state, (usually between 2 weeks and 2 months) but all states require that a person living in that state have a license in that state. You can not have multiple licenses and any record follows the driver as the new state will check with the old state for your driving record before issuing a license. When you move to Florida, you will be able to obtain a Florida license, but if you still use NY as your legal home of record, you may be required to keep your NY license. (Students attending school in another state and military stationed in a different state than their home of record are exempt from the requirement to change licenses.) If you have a FL license, but are living in NY, you will be ticketed if stopped for any reason. If you are living in FL, you can visit NY and drive legally with a FL license.

Add to that the fact that you don't have to wait to age 18 to get the NY license. You start the process with the learners permit at age 16 and with drivers ed can have your full license by age 17.

See http://nysdmv.com/license.htm#newdriversCan I get my drivers license in Florida if I live in New York, but am a legal resident of Florida also?
You can only be a legal resident of one state. Just because you own a home in multiple states doesn't mean you are a resident of all those states.

And you must follow the age requirements of whatever state you are driving in. Having an out-of-state license does not exempt you from the laws.

Florida Drivers License, Taking the Alcohol, Road rules and signs tests again?

Thursday is my one year with my permit so I plan on testing that day, but the question is, do I have to retake the alcohol, road rules, and signs test that I took last year to get my permit? Or is there just a behind the wheel test?Florida Drivers License, Taking the Alcohol, Road rules and signs tests again?
Assuming your permit has not expired, you show the permit and take a driving test.

    Behind the Wheel Test

An operators license is the Florida drivers license you get when you are ready to drive on your own - either after having a learners permit for a year or as an adult over 18. To get your operators license you will take a behind the wheel test and perform specific maneuvers. Note that you must bring your own car and it must be in good running condition.

    The Florida Driving Test

Below is a list of the maneuvers you will have to perform in Florida driving test.

    Turn About

Turn your car around in a 30 to 40 foot space. This is historically known as a three point turn.

    Shifting Gears

If your car is manual shift you must be able to shift smoothly.

    Parking

Park your car in a straight in parking spot. You should be centered in the parking spot. No more parallel parking test.

    Stop Quickly

Driving at 20 MPH you are expected to make a quick and safe stop when the tester tells you to stop.

    Backing Up

You will be asked to backup for 50 feet at a slow speed. You should turn your head and look to the rear not use the rear view mirror.

    Stop Signs

You will be expected to come to a complete stop and use your turn signals to indicate if you are turning. Then you are expected to proceed into the intersection only when it is safe.

    Signal and Turn

Get into the correct lane and signal that you are turning for 100 feet before you turn.

    Stay in the Correct Lane

Drive in the right lane except on a one-way street. Only change lanes if it is safe.

Full details for the Florida driving test are in the drivers manual.Florida Drivers License, Taking the Alcohol, Road rules and signs tests again?

1.- Go to your local dmv agency (division of motor vehicles), and request a lerners book, wich you have to study in order to pass 50 qs on a written test.

2.- If you complete 85% of the test succesfully, you pass the written test, congrats you just got what they call a "Learners permit" go to next step.

3.- Schedule an apttmt for the "road test" usually 2 mos apart, this time is to practice how to drive, no, no, not alone you will have to drive with an instructor, who is goint to teach you: parking, paralel parking, u or k turns, right turns, left, etc,....

4.-If you pass the "Road Test" with no problems and follow all the traffic rules the day of your aptmnt.

congrats you just got your "Drivers License".

note, Just remmember that driving in USA is a privilege NOT A RIGHT!,,, so always respect the rules and have no accidents.....or they can take that PRIVILEGE from YOU!!!!

It is normally a zero or a one. If someone has a similar name. I know this because mine FL drive license ended with a 1 and a bartender asked me what I did to get convicted of a felony. I was like WHAT? I went to the DMV and asked them and they said there was another Lisa B...... in Florida.

Both DMV's will communicate about the suspension. They are part of the interstate compact. What happens in one of the compact states will be communicated to the other state and the same thing will happen there. Sorry. You can't try to play around on this one. Your FL license will be suspended for one year, as well as any driving privileges in AL. Even if you can get the AL license before the suspension kicks in, FL will report it to AL once you have the license.

Unfrortunately, Michigan is a non-reciprocal state and therefore their driving offenses aren't recognized by other states. Now, Florida may have a law that says they will not issue a license to a person suspended in any other state, but I doubt it.

Rules To Follow To Pass Florida Drivers License Test?

I am 16 and going to be taking my Drivers License Test on Friday. I am a little nervous but am confident that I am a good driver and should hopefully be fine. Though, I am not good with all the minor driving rules such as no stopping in crosswalk, stay 5mph below or above speed limit, etc. that you need to follow to pass the test. So does anyone know some of the minor rules that you must follow to ensure you pass the test? ThanksRules To Follow To Pass Florida Drivers License Test?
You must know a K-Turn (3 point turn), which direction to point your wheels when parking uphill, how to stop and signal. Signaling is very important. As is your turning ability. The hardest part of the test is perpendicular parking in a tight space. You need to pull it off without hitting the cones with any part of the car but your bumper. Good luck.Rules To Follow To Pass Florida Drivers License Test?

Did you have to surrender it to get your Ca. license? If you still have it in your possession or even if not and it has not expired, OF COURSE it is still valid.I used to have a florida drivers license...?
As long as it has not expired.

If 1 is true, then just renew.

If 2 is true, you might have to take the test over.

Since it was less than a year, you might be able to just renew your Florida license. Either way, it seems that a trip to the Fla. M.V.A. is unavoidable.

Good Luck !!I used to have a florida drivers license...?
You have to reapply for a Florida license.
You won't have to take the test again but Florida does not recognize the California DL so you will have to show you birth certificate or passport to get a license. Check out the DMV.org website and click on the state of Florida. It will answer all of your questions.
You should be able to renew it or reinstate it without taking the test, especially if you can prove that you had an active license during that time.
If you go to the DMV within 10 days of moving back here, you will not have to take the test again. They will just renew it in the Florida license. At least, thats what the Florida DMV book says... I've never actually had to go through the process... I just remember from when I read the book and studied for months and months before taking my test.

On the florida drivers license test are you allowed to fail one thing?

It depends on what you mean by trouble, you have to able to complete the manoeuvre as described in the drivers manual. There are no prizes for doing them quickly, the only important thing is to do them correctly. When reversing, try going slower, and don't snatch at the steering.

The cost of the New York License. But keep in mind of the three things you must have, license, registration and Insurance, two must be from the same place. I think it was something about 16 to get a learners permit and 17 for a regular license. When I was younger (in FL), I was able to get my permit at 15 and a regular license at 16. I guess too many of us back then drove pretty bad, so now they want to increase the age. Sorry about that.|||There was a petition by an insurance and safety group to have it raised from 16 to 18 late last year, but the governor (Crist) was against it and did not support it. I don't believe it has passed yet, and probably won't if the governor isn't behind the change.

If you look at the statistics, they should probably issue the license at 16, take it away at 18, and reinstated it at 19. It seems 18 year olds are the ones who disengage their brains more when driving.|||i haven't heard about any changes, i believe it's still learners at 15 and DL at 16......try www.myflorida.com for answers

Does the State of Florida honor an International Drivers License?

What are the requirements in getting a Driver's License in Florida? Can anyone give a helping tips?|||There is really no such thing as an international driver licence. It is actually an INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS PERMIT. It is valid only with the regular licence from a person's home country, and is a multi-lingual translation, with the same class, conditions, and expiry. If a person is from the US, the IDP they have is not valid in the US, it is valid in other countries with the US licence. If a person is from another country, the IDP is valid in Florida, again when presented with the home driver licence. If a person has just moved to Florida from another country, the information needed can be found here.

http://www.dmv.org/fl-florida/drivers-li鈥?/a>|||The state of Florida will honor an international driver's permit provided that it is accompanied by a valid foreign license and the driver is not a resident of the US.

For residents of the US, an IDP is meaningless unless travelling outside North America.

PS There are a lot of "International Drivers License" scams out there. If you are a US driver and you need an IDP to travel abroad, only the ones issued by AAA and AATA are valid, the rest are scams.|||yes that's true|||Yes. An international drivers license can be used anywhere in the world. To get a driver's license in florida one must pass a written %26amp; a driving test. There may be other obstacles if you are not a U.S. citizen (clearence checks and such). I would contact the Floriday DMV. You can also find info at www.myflorida.com and go to the dept of highway safety %26amp; motor vehicles section.|||Yes. If you're traveling here from another country, that IDL will work just fine.

Licensing in FL - you have to prove you're in the US legally, pass a written test, pass an eye exam, and pass a driving test. Find out all about it on the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles website.|||CONTACT YOUR LOCAL (DMV) DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES OFFICE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE GETTING THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

I am 62 on Social Security and have a Florida Drivers license and own property in Florida.?

I want to keep Florida as my permanent address but I currently live in Winder with my significant other. How do I work in Georgia?|||Get a job and keep your mailing address in FL. SS really doesn't care where you reside at, if anyone asks just tell them your visiting for awhile. You will have to go to FL to renew your license.|||Once you live in a State for 30 days (unless you are college or military) you are expected to get that States drivers license and registration. Being employed quickens the process. When I moved to Florida, I was told by the FHP (during a stop for Ohio plates) that I had to switch plates and license as soon as I started to work there.|||The only problem I foresee is a driver's license issue because you are required to get a Georgia driver's license. The best thing you can do is talk to the DMV to see how you can get a Georgia Driver's License without losing your residency status in Florida....

Is it legal to drive an electric motor scooter in florida without a drivers license?

In the state of florida an electric scooter or e-bike is considered a bicycle as long as it is both manual and motor powered, not over 750 watts and the seat is at least 25 inches from the ground. My question is: If the electric scooter or e-bike resembles a motor cycle type scooter (not a wheel chair) is it safe to assume that it can be operated with out a valid drivers license, under the same laws that govern the operation of a manually powered bicycle? I have researched this but couldn't find a clear answer.|||Yes it is. As long as the bike is under 750 watts and goes 20 mph or under. There is federal law that rules this and supercedes any states law. H.R. 727 but this law only classifies it as bicycle and Florida's law states you have to be 16 to operate an electric bicycle and follow all bike laws. all this is in the hand book. I ran this threw from the DMV locally and all the way to Tallahasse before I bought one. You need no drivers license or tag and title. hope this helped.|||Great question for the DMV.

    Getting a Florida drivers license?

I will be in Florida for a little while staying with friend and I wanted to know if it will be possible to get my drivers license transferred to a Florida drivers License or an ID? Or do I have to have a SS # before these things can be done?|||If you already have a drivers license from another state, you simply surrender your other state's drivers license to the Florida DMV and they will issue you a new Florida DL upon completion of a vision test and a written drivers test. If you have never had a drivers license in any state, then you will need to bring a social security card and birth certificate and you will be required to take both a written and physical driving test as well as a vision test.|||If you don't have a social security number, then you are not a legal citizen of the USA, and you can't get a driver's license in Florida. If you are a legal visitor from another country and already have a valid driver's license from your home country, then you can use that here in the States for the duration of your visit.

If you are not legally here, then go home. Come back when you can do it in accordance with the laws of the United States.|||Well most of the answers are correct. By you saying you have no social I am guessing you are from another country? Bring all your current immigration docs (passport, I20, Receipt Notice, etc) to the dmv along with 2 proofs of address, which can be the friend you live with and a statement from your friend stating you guess stay together. You can get a lic if you have an out of country lic or have taken the 4 hour drug and alcohol class. If you want just an ID you can as long as you surrender all US ID's if you have one plus Immigrations docs. Hope that helps|||If you are a resident of Florida you can transfer a valid license from another state to Florida. If you are a tourist, your valid license is all you need. "A little while" and "staying with a friend" seems to indicate you are a tourist, not a resident of the state of Florida.

Are the Backs of Florida Id's & drivers license printed upside sown?

A friend of mine works in a gas station in Georgia and a guy came in with a Florida drivers license and the back was printed upside down. My friend would not accept the Id in fear that it was a fake. The guy trying to buy the booze said some about Florida's real Id act or something like that and Florida is the only state *** backwards that prints the back the opposite way the front is printed, is this true or was the guy trying to use a fake ID?|||I have a Florida Driver's license that is Real ID compliant, and mine is NOT printed upside down on the back. Florida denotes Real ID compliance with a gold star in the upper right hand corner. See below:

Question: Will the new card look significantly different?

Answer: No, expected changes will be minor. The new cards will have a gold star in the upper right corner to make them easily recognizable as Real ID compliant.

Do I have to turn in ny florida drivers license in order to get a georgia drivers licenses?

yes, they transfer it.|||Yes, you do have to yield up one license to get the other. You are not allowed to have a valid driver's license in more than one state at a time.

Obtaining First Drivers License in Florida?

Thanks for reading everyone. I'm a 25 year old resident of Florida without a drivers license. I've never had a drivers license or a driving permit in any state. I'm wondering what is the difference since I'm much older than most attempting to get their first license. How long do I need to have a permit before I can apply for my permit license, assuming I need one? Thanks in advance to anyone who is able to help.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.|||You don't need a permit.Just go take the test (2 parts,1 written,1 driving) and if you pass they will give you a license.Dmv has a free book that gives you all the information on the test.
